It does sound stupid as hell, indeed. I don’t know Hetalia too well, but the idea that they aren’t human and there’s more to it is new to me. It sounds like you’d best find your bearings with others in the Hetalia fictionkind community, though I’m not entirely sure how well you’d share those feelings with others outside of that specific niche.

I’d more look into the community first, see how everyone else deals with that.
