A tea spell for protection against evil, inspired by Samhain -đź’Ś
Collect: a mug, chai tea (or another black tea with cinnamon), pine needles (optional), an orange, maple syrup, obsidian and smoky quartz (or other crystals you associate with protection)
Take your mug and put in your tea bag
Take pine needles and use a loose leaf tea infuser, or in my case a coffee filter, and put that in the mug as well
Squeeze a bit of fresh orange juice into your mug
Fill up the mug with hot water and let it steep for about 5 minutes
Take a spoonful of maple syrup (the real stuff, not pancake syrup) and stir it in, clockwise to bring protection and counterclockwise to dispel negative energy
Charge your tea with your protection crystal(s) of choice (here’s how)
Sit down with your tea
Put your hands around the mug and feel the warmth traveling from your hands to the rest of your body
As you’re drinking the tea slowly, imagine it creating an energy shield around you, protecting you from negativity
Note: if you do plan on using any of the recipes on your skin, make sure it is heavy diluted in a carrier oil such a almond, jojoba or coconut. Some oils can cause major skin irritating and should not be applied directly to skin. Be safe, be smart, and ALWAYS research it for yourselfÂ
It’s all kind of “add to taste,” but this simple beverage would probably be really good for any faekin or woodland-types. I’m demonkin and find the sweet-woodsy taste quite relaxing.
The only ingredients needed are milk (plus cream, if you want it to be rich), vanilla, (real) maple syrup, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
Heat the milk in a saucepan and gradually add vanilla and syrup. Both can be experimented with in volume, but you probably want more syrup than vanilla. Whisk in a dash of nutmeg and a couple splooshes of cinnamon and then continue whisking to get a homogenous hot drink.
The resulting beverage is rich and reminiscent of sap and late-summer nights with plenty of sweet spice.
Black Salt is used for cursing, protection, banishing, cleansing, breaking spells or hexes, and repelling negative energy. Black salt is made by combining either activated charcoal or ashes from burned herbs or incense with sea salt.Â
Using activated charcoal will actually make your salt a dark black color, whereas using ashes will turn it into a lighter grey color.Â
Depending on what you plan to use black salt for, you can add different types of ash or other ingredients that correspond with your intent.
