to all the otherkin struggling with mental illness/trauma/etc:
i trust you. i trust that you know yourself better than i do. you say your identity isn’t a result of whatever mental illness you have? i believe you. you say you don’t know what causes your otherkinity? that’s ok, i still believe what you tell me.
as long as you aren’t spreading misinformation, i will take your words at face value. i don’t see a reason to doubt mentally ill ‘kin since I know that they have a right to their own experiences and existences.
if you experience things that lead you to believe you are otherkin, you are otherkin.
Big Big Big Disclaimer: These are my own definitions, and my own understanding of other folks’ definitions. If you have any information that I missed, edits you would suggest, or corrections to what I have said, please do not hesitate to let me know!
If you agree with this post, I’d love a reblog, but don’t feel pressured to use these same definitions that I do. I’m just like, a little tired of people (Antis? Sealions?) asking the same questions over and over.
In his post, I’m going to address two types of terms: actually_______ and _______kin; within these groups I will address actuallydivine, actuallyangelic, actuallydemonic, and actuallydeific/actuallydeified — as well as divinekin, angelkin, demonkin, and deitykin/godkin.
This is a really long post, by the way. It’s sort of an essay and it’s like, over 2k words. There’s a pretty tongue-in-cheek tl;dr at the end, but you can probably absorb most of the information by skimming it.
does anyone else with multiple IDs get confused about which shift you’re in? like im getting so many nostalgic feelings at once and i can’t decide on which set of memories to focus because they’re all really important to me???
This blog is meant to be a safe place to find educational otherkin-related posts, helpful ideas and suggestions, as well as providing lists of different kinds of otherkin blogs that can be found as well as resources.
The main goal of this blog is to help not only the newer otherkin find legitimate information and blogs to follow, but to help the community (even if it’s just a little bit) by trying to provide links to non-troll blogs, forums, and so on.
If you want your blog to be added to our lists, please just send us an ask containing your kin blogs name as well as your kintypes! This HAS to be done off anon, though, for added security that you’re not a troll or anti-kin. We will also be trying to keep these lists safe by not adding known neo-nazis, terfs, MAPS, exclusionists, and so on and so forth.

Went and submitted a thing for both here and K-A. 😮 Any other experienced folks or any greymuzzles want to join up, it looks pretty okay.
