Is there a translation to Spanish or other language of the word otherkin? I ask since therianthropy and alterhumanity can be easily translated

alt–h:

the spanish speaking communities i’ve encountered just use ‘otherkin’: see its use in otherkin hispano and otherkin, el despertar. that said, the latter link attests in the sidebar that “Other = Otra – Kin = ‘Piel’”, so perhaps that’s a possible translation.

as for other languages:

i proposed once that the gaelic word for otherkin would be eileach (i think this is valid in both irish and gaidhlig). i think i’d be more tempted to use this as a general umbrella term like ‘alterhuman’ these days, though.

thébaïde in its french-language section again just uses ‘otherkin’, but also provides a gloss to french for its constituent morphemes that could be used as its own word.

if you can speak russian, you might be able to find mentions of otherkinity on this forum – we haven’t been able to make heads or tails of it yet.

any of our followers know what the various alterhuman communities are called in other languages? if you’ve got non-english sources that talk about otherkinity, therianthropy, or any other alterhuman community, show us them!

Otherkin in French is usually autrekind / autrité. Copinglink is support-lier, fictionkind is still fictionkind. Otherhearted is usually autre-au-coeur.
At least, that’s how I translated things when I did a presentation on otherkinity for my French final in my last year of highschool.
