Okay, so, the best advice I can give you is to simply stop caring about what people might think of you. Like I know it’s super easy to say, I struggled with that exact feeling for literal years, but honestly ? People don’t have a right to define you.
If they tell you you’re too much of a tumblrkin for having a common theriotype and a fictotype, then they’re idiots. Simple as that. Your identity is for you to figure out, and all the random strangers on the internet who might try to tell you otherwise just need to learn to stay in their lane. Basically my advice is to dab on them haters.
And, who knows ! You might not get any of that kind of hate ! I’m a giant prehistoric shrimp, and a dragon, and fictionkin, and a furry, but I’ve never been called tumblrkin. The otherkin community on this site is pretty chill when it comes to that kind of stuff, you really don’t need to worry.

I’m a “‘grey muzzle”’ crone with one, just one ugly little bat for a theriotype, I use no other labels, and I have been called tumblrkin.
I’ve also been called a grey muzzle and one would think that’s a subcultural paradox.
Point is being called tumblrkin doesn’t mean a heck of a lot even if it’s kind of annoying.
And if you’re worried about being discredited because you’re in the furry fandom, just keep in mind that it’s almost more common to meet therians who are furries than therians who aren’t.
We received an identical ask so have some more answers from the people I had in mind if Anon asked for any others like them. ~Mod Lu
i met a bunch of other godkin at a furry convention and was basically gatekeeped by a greymuzzle therian. so it’s not just tumblrkin unfortunately.
There’s a few elitist therians around. Pay them no mind, they won’t listen to you anyway and you’re best ignoring them.
