Serious question for otherkin,

Why is it that demon kin do not typically take names the way Angelkin or godkin or divinekin do? I see plenty of angelkin possing as Verchiel or Ramiel or Gabriel but never a demonkin claiming to be Glasya-labolas or Samael or Adramelech? I literally have a book that’s a good 2 inches thick full of known and documented demons and demon types? I think I’ve see maybe one person taking Stolas as their kin type but that’s it?

Because Abrahamic angels have a vastly different community than the actuallydemonic community does. Godkin should be left out of this conversation, 90% of us aren’t even from this side of the multiverse’s freeways and thus don’t need to be acknowledged here too much.

‘Demon’ is a very broad term, and 90% of the Abrahamic demons are renamed pagan gods, because that’s just how Abrahamic organized religion used to be, and still is to a point. Not many demonkin around are Abrahamic in nature, and a lot of them don’t have known names. Even then, the demons around aren’t from this world. Maybe a different incarnation of this world, but not the exact one we’re using right now. Same face, same name, different person.

Kintypes are involuntary, if you didn’t know, so it’s not just picking someone out of a book and deciding that you’re them now. They’re you and you are them whether you like it or not.

The point remains is that Abrahamic angels have a very specific hierarchy, and there aren’t many other options under ‘angel’. ‘Demon’, on the other hand, is an obnoxiously vague term, so the demonkin around here tend to be more diverse underneath the label.
