What is Alter Human?

Just a legit question. I’ve seen it popping up a few times. Is it the same as being kin, or is it just another name for the trans-species crap that’s been showing up again lately?

‘Alterhuman’ is the adjective that someone (I don’t remember who, but I’m pretty sure they’re on tumblr) came up with to encompass all of the experiences of the otherkin, copinglink, fictionkin, therianthropy, multiplicity (both endogenic and traumatic), soulbonding, and tulpamancy communities. I think transhumanists are also allowed in if they want to be, haven’t really been paying attention.

Effectively, all those who experience an alternate-to-the-norm version of their own humanity and personhood get to call themselves alterhuman. 

At least, that’s what I generally use it as. I could be a little off, though.
