OKAY, I just saw a post about a more ‘inclusive’ lgbt acronym thing, but it included things like otherkin, furries, and stuff like that. I can tolerate otherkin. I can tolerate furries. HOWEVER, if you think I am going to accept ‘transage’, ‘transrace’, necrophiles and pedophiles into the lgbt community, you are dead wrong. Please do not go looking for the post so that it does not get more attention than it already has. If you want a full-on explanation as to why I will not accept these ‘identities’ into the lgbt community, message me. I’m tired rn, but I will deliver if called upon.
That was a troll. Otherkin and furries aren’t LGBTQIAP+. No need to yell in the otherkin tag about it, everyone’s either going to fall for the troll (like you did) or just block. Nobody honestly believes otherkin and furries and the other stuff are queer, that would be ridiculous.
Thank you for informing me, but I do know for a fact that there are people out there who do see pedophiles and ‘transrace’ people as lgbt+ who aren’t trolls that may feel validated by that post. I do understand that furries and otherkin aren’t lgbt+. I was just saying that if they were or if they want to be, I don’t feel it’s my place to exclude them. Sorry if I came off as rude or ignorant.
Not rude, but a little ignorant. That isn’t a problem in of itself, since you don’t get born knowing all this stuff. :p I’m glad you’re receptive to learning, though!
I’m not sure if I believe you on that, though, or if I just really don’t wanna believe some folks actually think pedophiles are LGBTQIAP+. I’d prefer not to think about that one too hard. But don’t worry, that post definitely wasn’t serious. Some of my more discourse-happy otherkin friends have shredded them, and I blocked the OP. No real need to worry, you haven’t done anything wrong.
