Gather your materials
- 1 cup plain Epsom salt
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1 tablespoon dried peppermint or 1 teabag peppermint tea
- 3 quartz crystals (clear for amplifying, amethyst for relaxation, smoky quartz to absorb the pain, rose quartz to soothe, etc.)
- 3 white candles
- 1 stick/cone of lavender incense
- soothing music
NOTE – If you have a favorite bath bomb with mint or lavender in it you can use that in place of the salts and baking soda.
- Start a warm bath, not too hot or cold.
- While the bath is running sprinkle your Epsom salts and baking soda into the bath. Add your teabag or herbs. Turn off the water when bath is at the right level. If you have a bath bomb, wait until the bath is filled and you are in the water.
- Start yous music and light your incense, and say/ think “By the power of air, my pain is blown away.”
- Place your crystals on the rim of the tub, evenly spaced and say/think “By the power of earth, my pain is banished.”
- Light your candles and place them between the crystals and say/think “By the power of fire, my pain is burned away.”
- Be mindful when getting into your tub and step over the rim of the tub. If you are using a bath bomb, place it in now. Say/think “By the power of water, my pain is eased.”
- Relax and let the water do its work. Soak for 20 mins or when the incense is done burning. Blow out your candles and say/think “By the power of the elements, my pain is gone.” The ritual is now complete.
Some Notes – Pat dry with a fluffy and warm towel. Do not rinse off. Give your body time to absorb the salts and baking soda. Also be careful not to burn yourself on the candles when entering the tub. If you wish, place the candles then light them after you are already in the water. You can substitute the plain Epsom salts for mint, lavender, or eucalyptus scented one if you wish, and you can leave out the peppermint. I use this bath a lot and this is what I do most of the time.
