-Hey! Are you about to reblog that beautiful photo or artwork?-
No caption? Go to the source and check.
Creators get their captions erased constantly. Mostly by bloggers who don’t want the text
CAPTIONS OFTEN CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFO!!- If you erase a caption that credits a creator that sucks dude. You wouldn’t go to a gallery and paint over an artists signature on a displayed masterpiece- don’t erase their online signature either
“What if it’s not even information on the artist but just them talking about the piece?? That’s not important right?” – On this piece I talk about how I made it directly after the pulse shooting as an Orlando citizen. People have deleted that which completely takes away from the pieces meaning. Don’t do that.
If the source has no caption? Look at that blog.
Are they mass uploading art or photos all without captions or credit?? They’re probably stealing all of those. There’s tons of blogs that do this and they can have tens of thousands of followers. Following them/reblogging from them contributes theft. (If they continue to see results, they will continue to steal and re-upload)
Has someone in the replies commented saying : Hey this is “—–”’s work!?
Sometimes people will even link to the proper creators blog. Reblog it from them please. It takes no time at all and makes a huge difference.
Tl;dr Be aware if you’re about to reblog a stolen post. Watch out for aesthetic/art blogs that mass re-upload photos and art without credit. It takes a milisecond to check and can save a creator.
