This topic I have been seeing more and more on tumblr and in person.
So I just wanted to ask some questions to better understand it, I want no drama out of it knowing that online with these topics there are firearms.I just want to ask these:
-Do you really have to think you are nonhuman to be otherkin?*I personally think you don’t for the reason I heard you don’t need to, You only beed to associate with it in some way*
-How does one become a Therian?
*This one I am more educated on for I meet a ton in person and would just like to understand a bit more. They actually tend to be chill people.*
-Like therians, Do otherkin have common personality traits to each creature? Like dragons being anti-social, wise on one or more topic or is it more free?
*I have tried to look into this one but found almost nothing. I find them interesting topics and would find it really cool if they did have this set up, It could help people understand more of themselves as a person.*
I ask these questions because I am getting asked a lot: Which animal do you think is your spirit animal?
Which creature do you feel more alike? So on. Truth be told I think I would relate more to lizards.
For mythical it is between demons and dragons, these are both creatures we know don’t exist (If you don’t believe in much like I do, I will leave religions out of this comment.) but they have good symbolic meanings and common traits.Demons dealing in mythology with the darkest parts of things and dragons being clever, misunderstood creatures.
If these questions are answered nicely I think I might actually be a bit of either which I would be honestly fine with.

2. You don’t, you discover you are if you were already one. You either are or you aren’t.
3. No. There’s no set in stone criteria beyond identifying as the thing on a nonphysical and involuntary level. You’ll find very nice demons just as you’ll find very mean Disney fairies. Stereotypes don’t work.
