As of my knowledge. Otherkin are people whom associates with a fictional species. (Dragon, Elf, Misc) On a spiritual level. That’s A-okay. Just great. But there’s people whom I think believe themselves to have legitimately been a fictional species in a past life. And I just think that’s bogus.
That isn’t what otherkin is. Associating with the thing isn’t otherkin. You identify as the thing on a nonphysical and involuntary level. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean people don’t believe in it, and I see no reason why you should be against it when you don’t know what it is.
